Kobbeåen

Kobbeåen løber gennem en sprækkedal syd for Gudhjem. Det er et meget smukt og lidt vildt sted, især på denne tid af året, hvor der er store mængder vand. Sneen er endelig smeltet væk.

The Kobbeå

The Kobbeå is a creek in the buttom of a gorge. We have a lot of theese gorges or ravines on Bornholm, most in the direction east to west. They are originally a kind of weeknes in the bedrock deepened out in the ice ages.
This place is very beautiful and rather strange and wild, and this time of the year, there are lots of water because of the melting snow.
I am planning to come back and take some more pictures when there are some flowers.

I am looking forward to a return visit to this magical place! I really needed a little hike today. It brightened my spirits.

The rocks that form the wall in the gorge - what are they?

Hi Pam

The rock is made from gneiss, with nothing growing on it it is red/brown/pink.
